Microfilming Services

KCI's Document Imaging Services use the latest technology available. We offer both microfilming on rotary and planetary cameras and digitizing your images from both paper documents and film (see Digital Imaging). KCI is capable of filming and digitizing any size document with care and confidentiality. Rotary cameras are capable of duplex or two-sided filming, while planetary cameras are used for one-sided, standard frame to blueprint size filming.

All images are captured using archival standards and the highest quality film. Those images can be saved on either silver or diazo films. KCI offers full service preparation, pick-up and delivery and destruction of documents as part of a total package. We also offer jacketing of 16mm and 35mm film for protection, as well as a film duplicate with every order.

The camera shown on the left is a 35mm large format camera capable of filming large documents, such as maps and blueprints. The camera on the right is used to film books of various sizes and age. The cameras shown below are 16mm platen type cameras, capable of holding over 2,000 images per hundred foot film roll.
