Constructed of 1-1/8" solid maple and 1/2" and 3/4" birch plywood. The plywood side and back panels are attached to maple pilasters through the use of wood glue and brads. Corner blocks are used to provide additional stability and reduce racking of the full assembly. The chest top is covered with Formica® High-Pressure Laminate on the upper surface and backerboard on the lower surface.

The upper shelf is dado into the sides and back and used to provide additional stability and reduce racking of the full assembly. The shelf is covered with Formica® High-Pressure Laminate on the upper surface and backerboard on the lower surface.
